Got Certified , (ACSP)

At last , after three weeks of hard study of a 700 pages book , i got certified. The certificate title is "Apple Certified Support Professional 10.6" , the certificate demonstrates the ability of troubleshooting different Mac OS x 10.6 issues; example of which are : User permissions , File Access and Sharing, network services diagnostics, system/software deployment , and other local administrative tasks .  My intentions behind being certified , is the need to support mac users in the university i work for currently , as well as a CV boost ( the very least , i will have the plus of "mac advanced knowledge" ). Praying for success in the future.

Director 6.0 : Virtual memory problem solution in easy steps

This problem appears when you try to run a game or a multimedia e-learning that is made by Adobe Director. this not always the case but it happens sometimes a message saying "This program requires at least 3MB of free virtual memory to run" pops up and you can't do anything

There is an easy step by step solution to introduce tonight :
1- Right click on my computer and choose properties

2- Go to the Advanced tab , and then click the "Settings" button under "Performance" as shown in the picture

3- In the Performance Options dialog go to the "Advanced" tab too (we're being a lot advanced today ,eh ? :D) , and then click on the "Change" button as shown in the figure :

this dialog will appear :

4- Now , go with the Custom size and choose some minimum and maximum , the values that worked for me where 200 - 4000 megabytes , ( you can come back and share the values that worked for you , people will love you for it ) , make sure you press set afterward  , like the figure :

 

5- now you will be asked to restart and every thing shall work OK.

@windowslive and @live accounts with Pidgin

Hi , This is my first blog post here :D , i couldn't add my windowslive account into pidgin from the first try , so i thought i would share how to do this ..

First , go to Accounts--> Manage Accounts like this :

then will press the Add button , "Add Account" dialog will pop up like this one , fill in your details , press "Add" button , and you are good to go :

now , when you reopen the account-->manage accounts dialog , you will find your account , make sure to check the check box near your account if it is not already checked.
